Finland is for those who love wilderness and holidays with many things to do, outside.

For those who like sport, or just walking.

For those who like to be on the move.

And for our clients who love to look up at the skies and count the stars.

This is the country of silent forests in the winter, endless white plains and little sunlight for some months (vs lots of daylight in the summer). There are the reindeers, the huskies, the snowmobile, the ice hotel, the ice fishing, the skiing… and the beautiful places to stay - from private houses in the middle of nowhere with a private butler, cook, guides and a surprise visit from Santa Claus. But if being alone with your family or friends is not your thing, there are beautiful hotels, fully equipped to face the cold and offering many outdoors experiences.

You can travel by car or plane. Several european airlines connect into different cities of Finland depending on the seasons of the year. And there are a few domestic airports too. Sometimes, lodges or hotels require some driving after landing too because the distances in the country are big.

Finland is about the great outdoors. In summer, green is all around, and so are lakes, forests and plains. In the winter the plains become white and very attractive to slide across for miles on end. Forests are silent and frozen, and lakes become mirrors of the skies. Regardless of the season, the outdoors are quite majestic and offer many ways to be explored.

Depending on how much you like the outdoors and the kind of outdoors you prefer. We recommend a minimum of 5 nights in one same place but love to extend our proposals into 9 nights so we can add more than one stop and different experiences.

Finland offers a combination of city life with the great outdoors. But it also allows you to go very far and remote. In the winter, try skiing off piste, to sliding on flat plains on skis, pulled by huskies or reindeers. From day trips excursions on a snowmobile, to go chasing the northern lights for hours. For the younger ones, a visit to or from Santa Claus is a must too. Everyday, there are new activities to experience.

In summer, go hike on forest for a day, or bike for hours. Stay by lakes and enjoy endless sunlight to swim, paddle, boat etc. FInland can also indulge you in typical gastronomy experiences, assist an opera festival, There is so much to do.

You can go to Finland anytime of the year, pending on your interests. Summer months are ideal for those who like to do long walks, biking, holidays on lakes where you can boat, swim, kayak etc. Winters are more snowy from November to end of March. Some clients go with skiing goals, other clients ask for the northern lights, other clients want to spend Christmas there. We listen and then we suggest when is best.
