FOR WHO IS RWANDA?

For those interested in Primates

For those who would like to go on safari into a less known destination

For those who love luxury accommodation.

Kigali and Rwanda are plastic free and these groundbreaking measures are envied by many countries around the world. Having recently lived through one of the most horrific genocides in human history, this nation managed to recover well and heal mindfully. Today the focus seems to be in developing local industries including tourism, but a responsible tourism, with tentatives to increase wildlife habitat and protect their valuable mountain gorillas. Although these silver primates are a star attraction, consistent efforts are being made to rehabilitate other species (like chimpanzees), opening national parks for safari activities and developing the scope of this industry in the best ways. It’s an upcoming all round wildlife and luxury safari destination and one of my favorite places to send clients to.

In Rwanda, you can travel around by car: we generally recommend that you have a driver for each transfer.

Most people come to Rwanda to see the gorillas not knowing that today this country is home to the big 5, being actively -and successfully- involved in wildlife conservation programs. So you can do the gorillas trekking (100% guaranteed that you will see them) and also go on safari to have incredible sightings from your vehicule or boat.

If a safari is on your list, as well as a much deserved stop in the capital Kigali, we advise a 7 night journey in Rwanda.

Visiting the Genocide Museum is a must in Kigali as well as trying the cool restaurants and shops the city has.

In Volcanoes National Park there are opportunities to do community and school visits. And if you like trekking, Rwanda is a great destination too.

April and May tend to be rainy months.
